I guess we'd need to find out the sequence of events and how it happened.

They caught her off guard, knowing they could willingly handle her powers, but when and where was it? The bathroom and her room shows no signs of struggle, which means the stabbing must have come later. She didn't choke, but... if someone had held her and forced her to have whatever made her vomit, they would have required immense strength to do so. Which is where the bruise might come from.

They lowered her down, stabbed her with... something, and climbed back up to the bathroom. Maybe. With or without a bedsheet or carpet.

The stabbing must have come much later, possibly as a means to throw us off track. They threw the earring aside, as well, so it might look like her wounds are self-inflicted to us. Whatever they gave her that caused her to vomit would explain the lack of rigor mortis, at least.
