I've had expensive wines with the most luxurious of executives, but this is unlike anything I've had before. [ She leans over to look at the bottle. ] I have to tell Riot to change our celebratory wine.

You learned all of this in... [ She moves her hand in a circle, not remembering the country's name her role is from. ]

No. [ She shuffles the cards once again, giving a tight-lipped smirk, and stacks them together loudly against the tabletop. ] I, Rapture, am the Mistress of the Night! I seek the comfort of shadows and the moon, as they reveal to me their secrets.

[souredsweet]

Please do not berate yourself for not doing so. Trusting the entire household might have allowed the gun to land in hands even more dangerous than Miss Rapture's... But if this happens a second time, perhaps we should call together a slightly larger group in advance who would be willing to hunt down the gun and dismantle it in front of everyone else once it is found.

Agreed. At least we know who probably has it...

Indeed... [Kaoru looks thoughtful for a second.]

Four of you were given the clue initially, yes? I would imagine that the Hostess and audience were hoping that you would all search individually, so that if the gun was used at all, any of you could be suspects. However, since three of you worked together... Well, if anyone dies by bullet, it will not be a long trial.

Haha, close enough. May I join you for a while, in that case? [nothing can go wrong with this, clearly!!]

[ Though she doesn't give a standing ovation, she does clap heartily. It's clear that most of it comes from the incredible fact that a robot is able to produce so much. She wishes she did have her bass — even with her circumstances of forgetting how to play — so she could have a jam session with her and tell Minx all about it (if she's not watching already that is). That would give them a major up in the business. ]

That's more like it! If it were me, I'd get the wrong idea from what you were performing before, not this. The organs were a great touch, especially with those incredibly raw lyrics.

Ever since I've got here, I've always felt able to use it, just not as much as I normally can. I can still feel spirits lurking about or do fortune telling, but only in very small doses.

[souredsweet]

Confronting her alone may be dangerous, I fear... Perhaps at dinner, when there are many people to witness? She could easily lie and say that she does not possess it, but we could ask her to consent to a room search. ...Though she may have hidden it elsewhere if she did locate it.

[ She motions to the seat across from her, inviting her to sit down. ]

Would you like me to do a reading for you? It's a bit different than my tarot deck, but it still has the same outcome.

If were right about the roses... we tried digging for it. It might be in a box.

Then if she does not consent to a search, we can at least tell a few others to be on the lookout for a box. I believe it would be best to keep the number small, to eliminate the chances of the gun falling into the hands of someone who would use it. It should be useless to her now, though, since she is currently the only person who may have it.

[She'll take it with a nod, plopping down and crossing her legs on the indicated chair!]

I can't say I'd necessarily believe the results, but I'd be lying too if I said I wasn't curious. If you really don't mind, I'd be much obliged!

...Either way, we need to make that clear. The more public it is the less it's useable.

I agree fully. Let us spread the word as soon as we are able, then. [Kaoru looks grimly determined and nods once more, before looking vaguely apologetic instead.]

But I do not wish to delay you if the three of you are to make a second attempt at locating the gun. I still have several wings left to visit, as well. I do wish you the greatest of luck though, and apologize again for being of little use.

After the past week, any type of surprise unrelated to murders would be refreshing, honestly. Here goes, then.

[Smiling lightly at that, she proceeds as told and calms down, looking well relaxed as if truly devoid of any stress or worries.

[a wan smile.] I know, but I wish that I had the ability to do more than puzzle over a riddle that is beyond my comprehension.

I think there's a risk in any case that they might get caught. I'm not sure if there would be less risk with locked room ones, or more.
